Grade 100 Alloy Chain

Trailer safety chains are a legal requirement across English-speaking markets—including the US (FMVSS 571.57), Canada (CMVSS), UK (Road Vehicles Regulations), and Australia (ADR 59/00)—to retain the trailer in the event of coupling failure. Installed as a crossed pair beneath the drawbar, they must be rated above the trailer’s ATM/GVWR, with sufficient length for turning but short enough to avoid road contact. Commonly supplied in Grade 30 (light duty), Grade 43 (commercial), or Grade 70 (heavy haul), with forged S-hooks or clevis ends. Hot-dip galvanised for durability; pre-cut pairs with certified load markings are standard for retail and OEM channels.
