Grade 70 Transport Chain
High-Strength Load Securement Transport Binder Grade 70 Chain
This High-Strength Load Securement Transport Binder Grade 70 Chain is manufactured from heat-treated carbon steel to deliver a bright gold chromate finish that serves as both a corrosion-inhibiting surface treatment and an immediate visual identifier distinguishing it from lower-grade chains — meeting DOT and FMCSA requirements for commercial vehicle cargo securement under Title 49 CFR Part 393.
The high-strength alloy composition achieves working load limits significantly higher than Grade 30 or Grade 43 chains of the same diameter, allowing shippers to secure heavier loads using lighter, shorter chain runs that reduce overall securement system weight.
Available in five sizes from 1/4" to 5/8" with stock numbers G70250 through G70625, Working Load Limits from 3,150 to 15,800 lbs., and chain weights from 0.63 to 3.53 lbs. per foot, this chain is widely used for flatbed trucking, lowboy trailers, and heavy equipment transport applications.
Pre-cut binder chain assemblies are also available in 133, 92, 66, and 33-link configurations for use with ratchet binders and load binders in standard tie-down setups. Stock numbers G70250X133 through G70500X33 support ready-to-use binder chain procurement for fleet operators and freight logistics providers.
