Grade 80 Alloy Chain
Alloy Steel Heat-Treated Overhead Lifting & Rigging Grade 80 Chain
This Alloy Steel Heat-Treated Overhead Lifting & Rigging Grade 80 Chain is manufactured from high-strength heat-treated alloy steel and subject to 100% proof load testing to ensure every link meets the rated Working Load Limit — the globally recognized standard for certified rigging chain used in hoists, cranes, sling assemblies, and overhead material handling systems.
The alloy steel composition provides exceptional fatigue resistance under repeated dynamic loading, while the heat treatment process develops a fine-grained microstructure that combines high tensile strength with adequate ductility to absorb shock loads without brittle fracture.
Available in eight sizes from 9/32" to 1" (7 mm to 26 mm) with stock numbers G80281 through G80100, Working Load Limits from 3,500 to 47,700 lbs., and chain weights from 0.72 to 10.21 lbs. per foot — covering single, double, and multi-leg sling configurations for industrial lifting requirements from light machine shops to heavy offshore rigging.
This chain is manufactured in compliance with ASME B30.9, EN 818-2, and AS 3776 overhead lifting standards, and is available in standard reel lengths of 50 to 800 feet. Stock numbers G80281 through G80100 allow precise specification across the full diameter range for rigging fabricators and industrial distributors.
