Chain Slings
Leg Chain Sling with Forged Open Hooks (QOF)
This Leg Chain Sling with Forged Open Hooks (QOF) features four equal-length alloy steel chain legs radiating from a common forged master ring, each equipped with a Grade 80 forged open foundry hook — providing maximum load distribution and stability for lifting large, heavy, or multi-attachment-point loads in heavy manufacturing, offshore, and construction rigging applications.
The four-leg configuration dramatically increases the effective contact points with the load, improving stability and reducing the risk of load tilting during the lift. The Working Load Limit of the assembly is determined by the sling angle; at 0° vertical, the rated capacity is four times the single-leg WLL. The open foundry hooks allow rapid attachment in controlled environments where hook geometry prevents unintended release.
Available in chain diameters from 7 mm to 22 mm, with leg lengths from 1 to 4 meters in standard configurations and custom lengths available for specialized lifting requirements. Working Load Limits range from 4.48 to 65.2 tonnes at 0° vertical, covering a broad range of heavy industrial and utility-scale lifting tasks including transformer lifts, pressure vessel installation, bridge beam erection, and heavy machinery relocation.
All four chain legs, the master ring, and all hook components are individually proof-tested and marked in accordance with EN 818-4 and ASME B30.9. The complete assembly is supplied with a color-coded load-rated ID tag, proof test certificate, and full batch traceability documentation for site inspection programs and regulatory compliance.
