EN - 12385 - 4 Wire Rope
EN 12385-4 Class 6×36WS-IWRC Steel Wire Rope
The 6×36WS-IWRC wire rope is engineered to meet EN 12385-4 requirements and features a Warrington-Seale multi-layer strand design (e.g., 1-7-7+7-14), resulting in up to 14 outer wires per strand and 84 in total. This high-wire count delivers exceptional flexibility and superior resistance to bending fatigue, allowing the rope to operate smoothly over small-diameter sheaves without premature wear.
Equipped with an IWRC core, it maintains high tensile efficiency and minimal stretch even under extreme cyclic loading. Available from 8 mm to 60 mm in diameter, with tensile strengths up to 2160 MPa and breaking forces reaching 2770 kN, this rope is extensively used in deep-mining hoists, offshore crane systems, and high-speed elevators where reliability under continuous stress is non-negotiable.
