EN - 12385 - 4 Wire Rope
EN 12385-4 Class 6×7+FC Steel Wire Rope – High Strength Fiber Core Wire Rope
This steel wire rope conforms to the European standard EN 12385-4 and features a classic 6×7 construction with a fiber core (FC). Each of the six strands consists of seven wires arranged in a 1+6 configuration, resulting in 36 outer wires that deliver excellent resistance to abrasion and crushing. The fiber core enhances flexibility and provides shock absorption, making the rope well-suited for applications involving repeated bending over sheaves or drums.
Available in diameters from 2 mm to 40 mm, it supports tensile strengths of 1770 MPa and 1960 MPa, with minimum breaking forces ranging from 2.35 kN (2 mm) to 940 kN (40 mm). Its robust design and reliable performance make it a common choice in elevator systems, static hoisting installations, and general industrial lifting where high strength and wear resistance are prioritized over extreme flexibility.
