EN 12385-4 Class 8×7+FC Steel Wire Rope – 8-Strand Fiber Core Wire Rope

Built to EN 12385-4 specifications, the 8×7+FC wire rope features eight strands, each with seven wires (1+6), totaling 48 outer wires. This 8-strand configuration improves load distribution compared to 6-strand equivalents and offers better resistance to distortion under load. The fiber core ensures a balance between flexibility and structural integrity, allowing the rope to maintain its shape during operation while accommodating moderate bending cycles.

With diameters from 2 mm to 40 mm and tensile strengths up to 1960 MPa, it delivers breaking forces up to 913 kN (40 mm FC). This rope is frequently used in construction hoists, material handling systems, and marine rigging where consistent performance and resistance to mechanical damage are essential.
