ASTM A 1023 Wire Rope

ASTM A1023 6x19 Fiber Core Flexible Engineering Lifting Wire Rope

The ASTM A 1023 classification 6x36 steel core is a high-quality steel wire rope. It has a construction with 6 strands, and each strand contains 27 to 49 wires. The outer strands number 6, with 12 to 18 outer wires per strand, and there is 1 layer of strands with 3 to 4 layers of wire. The number of wires in the rope (excluding the steel core) ranges from 156 to 276.

This steel core wire rope comes in various nominal diameters. For example, diameters range from 6mm to 48mm. Along with different diameters, it has corresponding reference weights, from 0.153 kg/m for a 6mm diameter rope to 9.815 kg/m for a 48mm diameter one.

It also offers different minimum breaking forces depending on the grade. In the IPS 1770 grade, the minimum breaking force can reach up to 1452 KN for a 48mm diameter rope. Please note that for final - galvanized ropes, the minimum breaking force is 10% lower than the listed values. This ASTM A 1023 CLASSIFICATION 6X36 Steel Core is suitable for a variety of applications where reliable and strong wire ropes are required.
