The ASTM A 1023 classification 6x19 fiber core steel wire rope is a high-quality product with well-defined construction features. It consists of 6 strands, with each strand containing 15 to 26 wires. The outer strands number 6, and each has 7 to 12 outer wires, distributed across 2 to 3 layers of wire. Excluding the steel core, the rope contains 90 to 156 wires.

This wire rope comes in various nominal diameters, ranging from 6 mm to large sizes like 48 mm. Along with the diameter, it has corresponding approximate nominal length masses. For example, at a diameter of 6 mm, the mass is 0.14 kg/m.

It also offers different minimum breaking force ratings depending on the grade (IPS, EIP, EEIP). However, it's important to note that for final-galvanized rope, the minimum breaking force is 10% lower than the listed values. With its diverse range of specifications, this wire rope can be applied in multiple industries where reliable and strong wire ropes are required.
