6×19M-WSC Steel Wire Rope – EN 12385-4

The 6×19M-WSC steel wire rope conforms to EN 12385-4 and features a modified strand construction (1-6/12), resulting in 12 outer wires per strand and 72 in total. This design provides a practical compromise between strength and flexibility for general industrial use. The wire strand core (WSC) offers more support than a fiber core while retaining moderate flexibility.

It is available in smaller diameters from 3 mm to 12 mm, with tensile strengths of 1770 and 1960 MPa. Minimum breaking forces range from 4.89 kN (3 mm FC) to 25.5 kN (6 mm WSC). This rope is frequently found in light-duty hoists, material handling trolleys, and internal machinery components where space constraints and consistent performance are key considerations.
