6×37M-WSC Steel Wire Rope – EN 12385-4

Built to EN 12385-4 specifications, the 6×37M-WSC steel wire rope utilizes a three-layer strand design (1-6/12/18) with 18 outer wires per strand, totaling 108 outer wires. This high wire count enables smooth bending over small-diameter sheaves and reduces internal wear during dynamic operation.

The WSC core provides structural reinforcement without the stiffness of an IWRC, making it suitable for applications requiring flexibility in compact systems. Available in diameters from 5 mm to 12 mm, it supports 1770 and 1960 MPa tensile grades, with breaking forces up to 25.5 kN (6 mm WSC). It is often used in aerial tramways, specialized lifting devices, and automated handling equipment.
