Copper Ferrules
Ask any rigger what a swaged copper ferrule is for, and the answer usually comes back to one thing: is compressed over two parallel strands of wire rope to create a strong, permanent eye splice. That is exactly the role the SAFETYLIFT Copper Ferrules plays in a rigging assembly. To meet that demand reliably, GMC manufactures it so that it is produced from high-conductivity, high-purity copper offering excellent corrosion resistance in marine and freshwater environments. It is most often found in smaller-diameter wire rope splices, fishing gear, and applications where copper's corrosion resistance is preferred over aluminium, and is available in the full size range needed to match the wire rope or chain size already specified in the assembly.
