Wire Rope Sling
Two-Leg Bridle Wire Rope Slings
Rigging a load from two pick points calls for a Two-Leg Bridle Wire Rope Sling, built with matched EIPS IWRC rope legs joined by an alloy oblong master link. Because the two legs share the load at an angle, working load limit is published separately at 60, 45, and 30 degree hitch angles across the full 1/4 inch to 2 inch rope diameter range, from roughly 1.1 tons down to 0.65 tons at the shallowest angle on the smallest size, up to 63 tons at 60 degrees on the largest. Oblong links and hooks are sized and load-rated to match each rope diameter, so the whole assembly carries one consistent rating rather than a weakest link. Compared with a single-leg sling, the two-point pickup gives better load stability for bulkier or longer items without needing a full four-point rig. It is a standard choice for lifting machinery, precast sections, and other loads with two natural lift points.
