Wire Rope Sling
Three-Leg Bridle Wire Rope Slings
Three-Leg Bridle Wire Rope Slings extend the same EIPS IWRC rope and alloy oblong link construction used in our two-leg design to a triangular three-point pickup, which is better suited to loads with an irregular or off-center center of gravity. Working load limit is again rated at 60, 45, and 30 degree leg angles for rope sizes from 1/4 inch through 1-1/2 inch, ranging from about 1.4 tons to 55 tons depending on size and angle. Hooks and oblong links carry a working load limit rating matched to each rope size in the set. The three-point spread naturally self-balances loads that would tip or swing on a two-leg sling, which is why this configuration is common for tanks, frames, and other awkwardly shaped equipment. As with all bridle slings in this range, keeping the leg angle at 30 degrees or above is required to avoid the sharp load increase per leg that comes with shallower angles.
