Closed Type Steel Ferrule (O Type)

Closed Type Steel Ferrule (O Type) is one of the standard fittings in SAFETYLIFT's wire rope and rigging hardware range, produced consistent with spelter/resin socketing practice consistent with EN 13411-4. As a closed, O-type wire rope socket, it fully encloses the socketed wire rope end in a closed eye, distributing load evenly around the full circumference of the fitting. Manufacturing-wise, the part is forged or cast from high-strength steel and proof tested after the wire rope is socketed with molten zinc or resin compound. GMC's customers typically select this fitting for standing rigging, guy wires, structural cable and lifting applications where a closed-eye termination is preferred, and rely on our factory's forging and heat-treatment controls to keep every piece within its rated working load limit.
