ASTM A 1023 Wire Rope
ASTM A1023 7X36 Steel Core Extra Flexible Lifting Rope
The ASTM A 1023 classification 7x36 steel core is a high-quality steel wire rope with specific construction details. The rope consists of 7 strands, and each strand contains 27 to 49 wires, with 12 to 18 outer wires and 3 to 4 layers of wire. Excluding the steel core, there are 189 to 343 wires in the rope.
This steel wire rope comes in a variety of nominal diameters, ranging from as small as 6 mm to as large as 48 mm. Along with different diameters, it has corresponding approximate nominal length masses, which range from 0.157 kg/m to 10.068 kg/m.
The minimum breaking force is an important characteristic. For different strength grades such as IPS 1770, EIP 1960, and EEIP 2160, the minimum breaking force (in KN) varies accordingly. It should be noted that for final-galvanized rope, the minimum breaking force is 10% lower than the listed values. This steel wire rope can be used in various applications where reliable and strong wire ropes are required.
